Creeper

This interesting creeper was found in the middle of the trail to Mulawella. These types of creepers are in abundance in this primeval forest.

More interesting things were in store in this trail, all the way up to the mountain.

Very nice...a thicker one would make a great hammock...

the thinner ones can be used to swing from one tree to the other like Tarzan...:-)

Sankara,
Oh yes, the thicker one will be ideal for a hammock :)

Clo,
Yep, they sure can dance!

Janith,
Glad you have passed thro' this place. The view from Mulawella is amazing. I'm attaching the full set of pictures with my next post. :)

Amaris,
Thanks a lot :)

Chavie,
Yep, the nature does these thing best!

Whacko,
I have included some vague description in one of my earlier posts. The closest route from Colombo is Kalawana via Mathugama. From Kalawana take the route to Weddagala. From Weddagala pick the route to Kudawa village. You have to travel about 6k from Weddagala to reach Kudawa village and the forestry office of Sinharaja. You will definitely need a vehicle with good ground clearance to pass this 6 km stretch. To enter Sinharaja and reach any of the destinations, you need a guide. This is a rule set by the Forestry Department.

Rainfield,
But now you see it :)

Betsy,
Yes, it is creepy ;)

J Bar,
Thanks!

Eileen,
Thanks a lot :)

Tammie,
Thanks :)

Bhavesh,
Yep it is an amazing creeper!

Thanks all for your wonderful comments!!!

That's one creepy creeper. Prolly it was a prehistoric snare laid to capture a mammoth or a T-Rex! lol
