This strange cave was seen by the side of Dedugala Road. This narrow winding road takes you through some striking sceneries. I thought it looks like a mouth of a giant tortoise!
Love the title, K... That cave does have its mouth open for sure.... Have you climbed inside???? Hope it didn't chew you up and swallow you.... Yipes. Betsy
Betsy, Yep it opened as soon as I gave the secret word ;) I went closer and observed inside but didnt go inside. It was full of bats and above all I was afraid it would close its mouth and swallow me in.. ha ha..:)
Chavie, Thanks mate, it is a significant landmark on this small road. Yep you definitely get an awkward feeling that it gonna swallow you when you poke your head inside the orifice.
Mridula, Thanks a lot for dropping by and for your comments!
Betchai, Yes..a BIG Gorilla :)

This so beautiful with the varying shades and textures of greens. Mysterious cave opening. Intriguing. Wonder how deep it is and what creature may live inside... Great Photograph. Carol

The tortoise is having its meal. It is too old to show its teeth.
This cave definitely looks like the mouth of something. I guess a tortoise is as good a description as any. Great picture.
Rainfield,
Thanks. Yeh definitely 1000 yr old tortoise :)
George,
Thanks. I like the rectangular opening .. quite unique.
And? Did you find the treasure?
Nicole,
Nope. Ali Baba has taken it :D
