Golden Beach of Komari

All along the eastern edge of Sri Lanka there are magnificent beaches from Kumana to Nilaveli. Most probably we get the best of the beaches in this part of Sri Lanka.

Most are sparsely poplulated and ideal for hiking and camping. These beaches have various types of terrains at different locations. Some are rocky; some have sand dunes; Some have thick jungles; some are surrounded by lagoons.

Komari Beach is situated about 15 km from Potuvil towards Akkaraipattu along A4 road. At noon it is quite warm but mornings and evenings are perfect for a long walk along this long and slightly curvy beach.

The view here is simply awesome!

Hi Mark,

The December weather in the East is not that bad. It'll be windy that is all about it.

Are you looking for a place near Komari?

Anyway i'll drop a mail to you.

I agree. I looks really awesome. I like that you made the shot with no people around. It makes it look like paradise.

Mona Sweden,
Yes, this beach is a very remote beach and you hardly meet anyone along the beach :)

Princess Sarah,
