Looks a little like some of the mountains we just saw on our 3 week trip out west.... BUT--the tops of our mountains were filled with snow!!!!!

Great picture.

Betsy,
I saw the first set of your photos of your long trip. Wonderful. We never get snow top mountains in Sri Lanka. The maximum height in SL mountains is in the range of 8000feet. Since we are in the tropics, that height does not reduce the temperature enough. even at the the top of the highest mountain you get about 10 degree celcius. Thanks for your comments.

Melanie,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments. Hope to see you again :)

Good to see you back on your blog H! The volcano like mountain in the background and the cloudy weather look brilliant in this picture.

As you can see from the comments, I too missed your posts. Welcome back. It is July 3rd and I am skiing in Tahoe. And my iPhone tells me it is going to be 38C in San Francisco bay area, where I live. It is just crazy!
Anyway thank you very much for a very different view of the mountain.
I am going back to ski, after breakfast, in my tee and baggies :) You might see me here! http://www.squaw.com/uber-cam

Magerata,
That is surprising. 38c in SanFracisco Bay area and snow in Lake Tahoe. Both in California right?

Saw the Squaw Ubercam. Lovely sight and the camera idea is very innovative!

Thanks for your comments.

Hey Kirig, great photos of beautiful locales, as usual. Loved catching up on your blog as it's been awhile a few months for me.

Just saw 127 hours for the first time last night-good movie, amazing courage. You mentioned hoping to get to Utah in 2012, if you ever have plans, keep me in mind, think it'd be pretty cool to meet up. Photography and hiking, think we'd have plenty in common!

I just spent a week in the area although I didn't get to Canyonlands, Arches or Capital Reef. I'm savoring Utah slowly, like a fine dessert! I've posted some of what I did get to on my blog, http://masterworkimage.blogspot.com/ and can most definitely show you around those places if we ever do meet.

Happy hiking my friend! All the best.

Hi James,
Yep, I'm planning a visit US in next year and I'll keep you informed about my plans, and yes it will be great if i get a chance to travel with you to some of the spectacular places over there as you have shown through your lenses.
Thanks a lot for your comments. :)
