Kelani Valley

River Kelani flows through this splendid valley situated at the western edge of the Central Highlands.

This is one of my favorite areas of hiking and this particular picture was taken on the way from Laxapana Falls.

To see more scenic images, explore this wonderful site - Scenic Sunday.

Anjana,
Yes, working and hiking doesn’t go together that well. Manage to find time somehow in the weekends. Wish I had more time. :)

Chavie,
Yes, Avissawella up to Ginigathena route is fabulous. You can reach this particular place via same route, but you have to turn after Kithulgala towards Laxapana.

Me-shak,
Yes, you must start hiking now. Especially you have a new camera so you can show the places you hike to us too :)
Cheers!

Linnea,
Though you are faraway, you are always welcome if you ever plan a visit :)

Amaris,
My job is not that flexible, and I wish I get something like sabbatical leave :) Then, I can post couple of similar posts everyday! Glad you like the picture.

Marvelous KP. Captures like these wrenches my heart, forcing me to nag my Mom for stuff Mommies collect in banks, drawers etc, so that I can have a short holiday in December. Perhaps I should get a job. THX.
