Amaris, It is a small farm village below. All those green grassy land are actually paddyfields. Also you have lot of footpaths across the paddyfields for farmers to walk around their fields. Those are the small lines, we see across the grassy fields in the picture.
Sankara, Yes, these are the best places to live in Sri Lanka, but you should be ready to live a simple life away from city's luxuries :)
