Hills of Rozella
Sometime back I showed you one of my favourite railway stations, but I could not show you how this area really looks like.
As shown in the picture, Rozella is a beautiful area in the hill country.

This is indeed beautiful hill country. I like all of that green beneath the low clouds.
It´s so green the island in the middle of the mountains, that sometimes regard me England.
Lovely valleys, and lovely falls.
Amazing landscape.

The whole hill country is dreamily beautiful,I'd love to settle down somewhere like Nuwaraeliya someday!
this is certainly beautiful. love how you captured the low lying clouds. have a great day.
looks a bit like a rain forest, so much wonderful green.
beautiful place, and those people who live right next and on th hill are lucky to have a local work-out everyday.
I love the picture in your blog mate. You are one lucky fellow to be able to live in such a location.
Me-shak,
Yes, you better start traveling since you have a great camera now :)
Amaris,
In a tropical country like Sri Lanka we do not have such demarcation as seasons. But we do have different weather conditions depending on the time. I have shown a brief account here. Usually Feb – March and August are known as better months to travel as there is less rain. But if you like the rainy weather then, May - June is the best :)
Frieda,
Yep, a great place for a vacation.
Betsy,
Yes the greenery is abundant in the hill country of Sri Lanka.
Penny,
It is not a difficult thing as I have found out that within very short distance I can cover different locations ands sceneries :) Thanks a lot.
George,
Yes, this area is closed to a place called Watawala which has the highest rainfall in Sri Lanka. So that may explain the reason for the greenery.
Vicente,
This picture was taken from the road to Nuwara Eliya. In fact Nuwara Eliya is known as ‘Little England’ :)
Rajesh,
Thanks mate.
Hoot-a-Toot
Yes it is a pretty name too
Vernz,
Yes how wonderful to see this scenery every morning :)
Silent Moments,
Yes, there are so many places to visit in SL and glad I could show at least some of the places :)
Amila,
I too thinking of the same. I must start earning now :)
Thanks all for your wonderful comments
Naquillity,
Thanks a lot for your comments. Wish you a great day too!
Tammie,
This area is quite close to peak wilderness area, so you get traces of the rain forest.
Betchai,
Yes, even the slightest walk they have to climb the hill so work out is natural..:) But I do not mind doing that everyday with that beautiful backdrop.
Sachira,
Thanks for dropping by and for your comments. Saw your blog and you have some great photos.
Not only is it a beautiful setting to vacation at, but I bet the air is cool and so fresh! Thanks for you visit. Enjoy the day!
That must be one gorgeous place to live (well, maybe not for the people that actually live there, but to me it sounds awesome).
Love those huge trees and the green hills!
Linnea,
You are most welcome. Yes, air here is very cool and refreshing. Thanks for your comments.
Nicole,
Rozella has high rainfall and usually we see tall trees here as well. Yes sometimes people who live here do not get enough time to feel the joy of the nature as they have to work hard most part of the day. Thanks for your comments.
I can imagine. Looks like a pretty laid back place :)
Nicole,
Yep, I agree with you :)
Thanks again for the comments.

Such a very different landscape from what is on my doorstep.
EG Wow,
Yes, a place near this place called Watawal gets the highest rainfall in Sri Lanka. So Ginigathhena also gets a lot of rain :)
