Another Evening

This picture was taken near Thissa Wewa.

Every evening here, by the banks of Thissa Wewa, brings colorful memories like the one shown in the picture.

Somehow I have a special liking to these lakes. Perhaps because they save me from the heat with their cold water. May be because wonderful views like these you manage to capture. But mostly because whenever I am at one of these lakes, I wonder about those engineers who designed these. Catchment, overflow and distribution have been planned marvelously. You hear every year, some modern dams breaking up, somewhere in the world. But I do not know about any one of these failing.

George,
Yes it was very tranquil scenery :)

Magerata,
Lakes and these tanks are amazing especially during the evenings.
Yes, we had had some excellent civil engineers 1000 of years ago. Most of the dams are still standing after so many years and the designs and constructions are not seconding to any of the modern dams.

Betsy,
Glad you like it. Yes those colors are very soothing to the eyes.
