KIRIGALPOTHTHA, THE SECOND HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN SRI LANKA, IS ONE OF THE BEST HIKING ROUTES IN THE ISLAND. THIS WEBSITE UPDATES ON EXCITING PLACES FOR HIKING & CAMPING AND ALSO SHARES INFORMATION OF SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOCATIONS IN SRI LANKA.
This picture shows the top most point of Alagalla. The last bit of the climb was very interesting, as we had to squeeze through a crevice in the middle of the rocky outcrop shown above.
hello... i want to say thank you for your kind words...i appreciate to much.. i wish you have good time .. i hope your little family is OK..:o) life is precious and fragile... thanks again K..
Wow.. such a tough climb.. but a thrilling and exciting one no doubt.
Looks like everyone's seeing an animal shape on the rocks. =D As for me it looks like something between a baby walrus and a bulldog. Rock formations are always mystifying.
Betsy, Yep we climbed to the top and it was amazing. Hope you would like my next post too. Yes you look more like a Betsy than an Elizabeth...:D Thanks for your comments.
Me-shak, Do not miss the next hike :) Thanks for your comments.

Clo,
Thanks for your comments and hope Draguignan is back to normal after that terrible experience.
Nice pic!
...love the pale tips of the grass...
When i saw this rock, i saw a hedgehog lying on its tummy, looking to the left. :D Can you see the face?
it looks like a big lion is taking rest at the top of the rock...
nice capture :)
Looks like a wonderful and pretty place to hike.
A Bulldog is crouching. It is always the winner to be on the top.
That is quite a rock formation on the top of Alagalla. I'm glad you made it all the way to the top.
Beautiful view.

My name is Elizabeth. "Betsy" is a nickname for Elizabeth. I guess my parents thought I looked more like a Betsy than an Elizabeth. ha
