I love this picture. The reflexion of the tree itself is mesmerizing. It's a kohomba tree noh? And the flowers in the pond, far away is very serene. Excellent picture K. I'm not surprised it's coming from you :D
Anjana, Yes it is your friend croc who is sunbathing under the tree. :D And you picked an extra intruder too. So I made a small change in the post. (changed intruder to intruders)
Rajesh, Thanks a lot!
Me-shak, Glad you like the picture. I think it is a Palu tree.
Rainfield, Hope you saw something like a log under the tree :)
Naquillity, May be he is waiting till the peacock comes nearer :)
Wow.. nature at its best. Great shot K! Nice to see the basking croc and the dancing peacock. Plus it's a rare to capture the peacock with its tail feathers in fan mode (= spread like a fan). =D
Those shadows in the ground are very tricky.. I'm seeing 2 more silhouettes but prolly they're just shadows.
Harumi, You have good eyesight! Infact I saw the peacock only after Anjana's comment. :) I won't surprise if you find more intruders in this picture as this is an area I saw lots of animals.
Poetic setting... I expect to see the log under the tree open it's large jaw any moment and rush into that lovely lily coated water. All the peace and serenity would be broken... Lovely Lovely!! Beautiful photo!
Chavie, Even I realized it is a peacock after Anjana’s comment.:)
George, Yes, he was having his customary nap, such a lazy predator!
Gallicissa, Although we cannot see that tiny creature, there were many dragonflies here. Pheasant-tailed Jacana – I just googled and identified the bird. In fact you are right, there is a shade of similar bird at the point you mentioned. Neither can I claim it. :)
Carol, Yes, in fact I waited till this log move into the water, but it looked like having one of his longest naps..So I came out from that place.
Nicole, Thanks a lot!
Loshini, I too need to eat carrots then. Even I couldn’t recognize the peacock. I had to check one of the earlier photos taken to clarify the peacock.
Sankara, Yes, it is a type of lotus, known in Sri Lanka as Olu flower - Nymphaea lotus
Cat, I too thought the reflection has come out quite nicely.
Amila, Glad you like it :) It has come better than I thought.
Ratty, Yes, not as pleasant as the intruders you see everyday during your adventures :)

Great shot!
Is that a peacock far right of the pic and my friend croc under the tree? =D
Beautiful shot, nice reflections.

Cheers!
They camouflage very well. I do not see quite clearly.
i love reflective shots like this. the crocodile must be waiting for his meal to surface. hope all is well.

I was wondering what that weird tree on the right was, and realised after seeing the comments that it was a peacock! :D
Lovely capture K! Love the tree and the reflection in the pond. :)
This is a beautiful picture of the tree's reflection, but I'm glad the croc was napping when you snapped this.
Nice capture K
Croc and peafowl were the only two I can spot, although I may have seen a dragonfly or two :)
Above the left branch of the shadow there appears to be a Pheasant-tailed Jacana on the lilies, but you know me, I wouldn't claim it.

That's a gorgeous photo!
Well done!
I definitely need to eat more carrots. I couldn't see the intruders mentioned by Anjana till i read the comment thread :P
The reflection's lovely though!
Brilliant shot! Are those lotus flowers in the pond?
It was hard to spot the croc even after I read it was in there. Lovely photo, I really like the pretty reflection.
The reflection is like a real tree upside down! Nice one, K.
Avery nice looking place, but I wouldn't go anywhere near it. I don't like that kind of intruder.
