George, Thanks George! Yes it is an amazing feeling to be a dad. Isn't it? :)
Rainfield, Yep, I wish I get the eyes of a bird atleast for few minutes.
Amaris, You see so many clouds like that when you climb Sri Pada. I was quite high up from the first layer of clouds so the view was amazing.
Eileen, Thanks a lot for your comments as always!
Betsy, It is over 7000 feet and the next highest in the vicinity is about 1000 feet lower, so you feel 'almost' like top of the world. The feeling of seeing the new born baby at home is as good as being on top of the world :)
Harumi, Yep, bcause of the altitude and the conical shape we can get similar photos easily from Sri Pada. Seetha Gangula is formed by many streams like the one with this seasonal waterfall.
Hi Dominic, Thanks very much and I'm delighted to get a comment from a 'pro' like you :)
Me-shak, It is not a lake but just a cloud. This was taken from sri Pada. Thanks for the comments.
Ratty, yes it is a waterfall. Quite a tall one but less water. It is a seasonal waterfall as during dry season you may not see it. Thanks for the comments.
Linnea, Exactly. It just look like you are flying over the mountains.
N, Sounds wonderful. Moraywaththa trail is the shortest but challenging especially if you are doing it at night. Do not forget to go around the reservoir area too. One of the most beautiful areas in SL.
Really? that's nice. I guess the pilgrims won't feel any exhaustion while climbing such a sheer height, if they getta see such a stunning scenery all around them.

Lovely!
This is a wonderful picture for a man who is on top of the world. The scenery is breath-taking.
We can only see the whole world through the eyes of a bird.
Beautiful as always!
What a lovely low-lying cloud accenting the ridge in the upper left hand corner...
- and very cool shot of the waterfall!
The clouds in the distance almost look like a lake... I love it when clouds do that. :)
Beautiful scene and an awesome view! Great photo!
Gorgeous view, K.... What is the elevation there?
Bet you feel on 'top of the world' with that new baby in the house... Congrats!
Betsy
Amazing photo K! Gives the vibes that it was captured while flying and not while standing on a firm ground.
Is Seetha Gangula right below that waterfall?
Just wonderful, and the area you look down on to must be stunning!
Thank you
Nicole,
Thanks a lot!

Wow, truly amazing :) Is that lake in a distance. Where about is this?
Looking forward for more.
Cheers!
That is an excellent view. I'd love to be able to hike a place like that. Is that a waterfall towards the bottom center of the photo?

Again you out do yourself! Great!
Magerata,
Thanks a lot for the comments.
You are high up! What a hike. It almost seems like you must have been in a plane. What a view!
Nice! Looking to climb in September when there are no crowds and go through the Fishing Hut side.
Gorgeous view!

Icy BC,
Thanks very much!
Magnificent - this how I'd like to see highlands - rugged and thickly forested.
The mountains look like they go on forever. Great view!
That is SO beautiful when enlarged. I believe I see a fabulous waterfall...oh,to be a bird!
wow, such a grand view!
how often do you go? Such a beautiful view.
Really? that's nice. I guess the pilgrims won't feel any exhaustion while climbing such a sheer height, if they getta see such a stunning scenery all around them.
What a lovely shot!
Gallicissa,
Same here. I too like mountains that way and Peak wilderness is one of the best!
Cat,
Yes, this area is quite vast, but it is quite a small mountain range compared to big mountain ranges in the world.
Carolyn,
Yes, it should be fabulous to be a bird in this area :)
Tammie,
Thanks a lot!
Ann,
Not that often, but I have been there 4 times during last ten years.
Harumi,
Yes higher you climb the steeper it gets and more difficult to climb, but on the other hand, higher you climb better the scenery :)
Ron,
Thanks a lot for dropping by and for your comments!
i have never been to Sri Pada...i really want to after seeing this...:)
Penny,
You should really go there. Some people travel to Sri Lanka just to visit this place :)
