Green Garden Lizard

This is a common type of lizard found in Sri Lanka. I took this photo in Mulawella, Sinharaja rainforest.

He is posing for the camera! Isn't he?

Amaris,
Thanks. I still have to post one for your tag :)

Loshini,
'drumming his fingers' - Oh yes he is sure in a bit of a hurry...
....There were wild flowers in this particular tree and quite a few insects and flies were hovering around those flowers. This guy was having a great time feasting on those bugs. So although he was posing, he was bit impatient as I barged in for the photo shoot during his lunch time :D

Betsy,
Yep, he had a very attractive color almost luminous green!

Rainfield,
Is he? Infact I was kissing distance from him :D

Chavie,
Yep he is. Thanks :)

Sue,
He sure has those photogenic looks for a model :D

Thanks all for your wonderful comments!!

Knatolee,
Yes, a good observation! He still has bits and pieces of his old skin. I think the luxurious colour and the eye strip is cos it is brand new skin. Thanks a lot for your comments :)

Me-shak,
Yes I know some keep them as pets too. Are you one of them? Tks a lot for your comments!:)

wrap.box,
Glad it was helpful to you! Yep you have done it quite well! I'm no web designer but let me know if you need any help in future :)

I got a few pictures with one i managed to charm:)

Such a pretty lizard, we have plain green forest lizards but they are seldom seen. He is beautiful.

Kirigalpoththa said...

Glennis,
I think this one also usually has a more darker complexion. But he has just shed his skin and that is why it looks so bright!
Thanks for your comments!!
