Origin of Seetha Gangula
Seetha Gangula (cold stream) is a popular stream found on the way to Sri Pada. It is customary for the devotees to have a bath from this cool spring water before the climb. As the name implies, the water is very cold at these heights.
Seetha Gangula is a collection of water streams start from Sri pada and surrounding mountains. One branch joins Kuru Ganga and ends up in River Kalu and the other set of branches join Maskeli Oya via Maskelioya Reservoir and link with River Kelani.
This picture was taken from the top of Siri Pada. It shows one of the starting points of Seetha Gangula and small yet tall waterfall created from the same stream.

It is a line of waterfall.
Rainfield,
Yes :)
Beautiful picture K! I was reminded of the silken threads that hang from "Indikatupana" on the way up to the summit! :D
That is a very tall waterfall! The stream may be small, but the fall is beautiful as it drops down the side of the mountain. Good picture!
wow, the height of the falls is crazy!
beautiful landscape....i hope you don't feel dizzy...
terrific point of view....
great photo...:o)
Chavie,
Oh yes, that is such a significant waypoint up the hill! Could not take any pictures as I missed that place when I came via Moray estate last time.
George,
I do not knoe how tall this is but must be one of the tallest around. Somebody said this is a seasonal fall where it disappears during dry season.
Loshini,
Yep..that is crazy height taken from a even higher point :)
Clo,
The view from this mountain is spectacular and I shall upload more photos. It is perfectly safe .. up the hill with iron bars all the way up so even those who feel dizzy f heights can make it :)

Eillen,
Thanks a lot for your comments!
Betsy,
No idea of the height as this was taken from quite far off. Could not find any facts from other sources too. May be because it is a seasonal water fall. Thanks a lot for your comments!
What a sweet waterfall!!
It looks 2Xs as tall as the tallest i've seen here. (89 meters) I will put it up next in my series. :)
Great pic, as always.
