Scenic Beauty after Nawalapitiya

I am attaching one more from the railway tour to Badulla. This scenic view was captured close to Nawalapitiya, one of the main railway stations in the Colombo - Badulla railway line.

Now that LTTE trouble is eliminated, I guess Sri Lanka will be flooded with tourists. The country is so scenic! :)

You really have a scenic railway view.

I can understand why you keep going back to that railway. The view of the mountains is wonderful and I like the curve of the tracks at the bottom of the picture.

I love going on train rides. My Dad used to work for the railroad--so we got free passes (way back when) to travel. When I was about 8, we traveled via train from Virginia to California. Wonderful trip!!!!

You got some great pictures--with some terrific views.

Bindhu Unny,
Yes, already the number of tourists has increased compared to last year.

Book the observation saloon whenever you go. You will get the best view :)

Yep, there are similar sceneries all the way :)

Yes, I will do this trip again..for sure. :)

Mama Zen,
Thanks for your comments!

Free passes for employees. Yes that concept is there in Sri Lanka too. :)

Yes you similar views for atleast 6-7 hours during this journey.
