Anonymous Waterfall
Above small but attractive waterfall was seen very close to Akasa Bokkuwa. In fact it is clearly visible from the top of the bridge like this. Yet no one knew a name for this waterfall.
The bridge, Akasa Bokkuwa is quite high as you can see here from the top. Below the waterfall, there is a small pool of water, where you can enjoy cool spring water to your heart content. The full set of photos of this attractive place is shown here.
I hope you will notice the small house just above the waterfall. Who doesn’t like to live there?

wow K! I loved the pics! Yes, living in a place like that would be a dream come true to many! :D The stream/waterfall too seems to be clean and safe from pollution, which is awesome... :)
Sad they don't have a name for the falls though... Perhaps they could've named it 'Akasa Ella'? :D
Chavie,
That is a good name! Let's call it by that name till some one comes up with the correct name if ever there is one. :)
Yes, too good to live in the little house.
Oh My K, What I would give to live in that house!!! Imagine hearing that waterfall all of the time...
You need to 'name' that waterfall. George and I do that --when we can't find any information on ones that we find. We've named some after our kids and grandkids... ha
Thanks for sharing.
Betsy
WOW, K! That is STUNNING! I love it.
Rainfield,
That is what i thought too :D
Betsy,
That is cool! Your grandkids will enjoy seeing the waterfall named after them :D
Since Chavie came up with a name I'll stick to it..:)
Gadgetgirl,
There was an even better waterfall bit further up. Will post about that one soon :)
Another spectacular spot!
Good job on the photo spread... it really gives a nice all-round feel to the place :)
Hi Sean,
Thanks very much for dropping by and for your comments! Glad you like the photos spread :)
wonderful waterfall!!!!
Maybe you can give this beauty of a waterfall a name.
I would very much enjoy living in that house above the waterfall. Thanks for sharing this beautiful waterfall with us. It's very nice even if it doesn't have a name.
I go pass this spot when I go to Sinharaja. That house was a relatively recent addition. I was sad as they've cleared a lot of vegetation there.
I love the picture, I love the water fall..and the caption made me smile...ie : "Anonymous waterfall" ! : ) ...
Another fabulous waterfall from your hiking adventures...you never run out of beautiful scenes from nature to capture for us! And thanks for visiting my blog so faithfully...
Hagemor,
Thanks for your comments!
Natural Moments,
Yep, I good idea! I ll go with chavie's suggestion above :)
George,
Very true..small yet very beautiful, and I do not mind living there..
Gallicissa,
Oh .. really. That is not good. Anyway the people around here seem to be quite aware about protection of nature. Some one has tried to put up a hotel in this area n the villagers have teamed up to stop the potential threat to the natural beauty.
Nat,
Glad you like the picture and the captuion :)
Linnea,
You are welcome n I'll continue to do so :)
Thanks all for your comments!
Superb! What if there's no name for this beauty of nature!
Bindhu Unny,
I too wonder that..Thanks for your comments :)
Thanks J Bar!
i always give names to places i visit--like a code in my brain.:p this waterfall is pretty to be "nameless".
Hi Luna,
Yes, it should have a name :)
