Mountain Trails

This picture was taken at a place close to Haldummulla on the way to Haputhale. The mountain and the surrounding are quite scenic especially with the mist coming from one side.

This area is a great place for hikers as there are endless hiking routes connecting many places. You may find lots of streams, waterfalls and hills along these paths. Climate is also very soothing, not so cold not so warm.

I am starting to believe that SL and Penang are siblings. If you have hiked, or are going to, then I'll enjoy a closer feel on the place.

Ya for sure! =D

And like Chavie says my first impression of the pic too was Hanthane.. cuz of the shape and shades. It's amazing there are look-alikes for peaks too. =D

I like the way you have captured the mist settling over the top of the mountain.

Harumi,
Yes. definitly a look alike for hanthane. Can be distant cousins :)
I do not know the exact name of the mountain but this is one of the peaks South of Horton.

Yes these mountains are always misty and pictures always look very attractive!

FOGSL once did a trip to this area and I missed it. I must join them next time as I heard the area is good for birds too.

Gallicissa,
Pity you missed that trip. Try to make it next time.. I have seen many birds this area although I'm not that good in identifying them. A lot of migratory birds also visit these area..I guess.
Tks for your comments.
