The other day I caught up with pouring rain while returning from Wellawaya. Initially I thought the photos taken from inside the car were very dull. But later I thought these ordinary photos have some hidden beauty.
I thought of posting this one, although it would have been ideal if I could post it with my earlier post on rainy seasons of Sri Lanka.

I was in Colombo ydy. The picture was taken a few days ago. The rain was just starting and Diyaluma was looking good. Think it should be even better by now as I heard it is raining hard in Haputale / Balangoda side. Good for the reservoirs and catchment areas.:) Not so good for the gem business in Rathnapura.:(

It does look like a photoshopped image. The picture was taken behind the windscreen. The water was just flowing consistently:)

Yep it was not the easiest task to travel on that road during such rough weather. Luckily I pass the area before the mist! Had the mist come I would have been stranded :)

It must be. a bit scary too, knowing that the area is renowned for landslides and stuff. :) and the power cuts seem to have stopped, thankfully! :D Good to hear you got out before the mist set in, I wouldn't fancy sitting on the edge of a cliff waiting for the road to clear... :S

Yep, Beragala stretch is quite risky on a rainy day! I had some unforgettable experience on a misty day travelling towards Haputale, but this time I passed that before the mist :)
