I thought I just photographed an ordinary toad :D
Infact the ranger told me it is called 'katu gemba' but I didn't really check any info after that..
I think I should do another post quoting your comments above. It has been christened as Nollert's Toad Bufo noellerti in honour of the German Herpatologist/Batrachologist, Andreas Nollert.

Nollert's Toad looks similar to the Common House Toad aka. Asiatic House Toad Bufo melanostictus Schneider, 1799 that you and I get in our houses and home gardens. However, it can be told apart by using numerous features. The main one that I used to tell this species from the commoner cousin, often found sympatrically, is the absence of 2 pairs of inter-paraoid warts in this species, which is present in Asiatic House Toad. The paratoid gland FYI, are the elevated and elongate sections on each side of the dorsal surface seen the eyes.

I am yet to photograph this species in the wild.Amila Salgadohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05607756343837325575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4933499499768796683.post-54282253160432584772010-04-01T11:22:37.747+05:302010-04-01T11:22:37.747+05:30This comment has been removed by the author.Amila Salgadohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05607756343837325575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4933499499768796683.post-72804676384354491052010-03-16T11:34:20.774+05:302010-03-16T11:34:20.774+05:30Johnny Nutcase,
