I don't think I've ever been to Angamedilla, but I saw it once on TV, on that superb program "Ganga Dige". If I'm not mistaken it is where the Amban Ganga is diverted to bring water into the Parakrama Samudra, isn't it?Chavienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4933499499768796683.post-51384379673615720012010-03-08T11:00:35.516+05:302010-03-08T11:00:35.516+05:30Comment made on 2009-02-28T14:34:05.679+05:30

I avidly watched Mr. Jackson Anthony's programme-'Ganga dige'. But I have missed the part you mentioned.
The same area is full of ancient ruins and historically important sites. Most importantly there are many camping locations in this area.Kirigalpoththahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00173002776907882231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4933499499768796683.post-36908912988403382422009-04-04T13:38:00.000+05:302009-04-04T13:38:00.000+05:30I think we must've taken the Girithale road, since...I think we must've taken the Girithale road, since we were staying at a hotel near the Girithale tank. I will bring more posts on Laggala Pallegama area soon as I have not posted enough. As you said this is a fascinating area.

If you turned from Elahera you must have come via Girithale-Naula road or Polonnaruwa Naula road via Angamedilla along the edge of Wasgomuwa Reserve.
